Senior Creative developer
You will own the creative vision and execution of web projects from start to finish.
Overview
That means information architecture, wireframing, visual design, and creative direction all the way through to developer handoff. You are accountable for the output. Not just contributing to it.
You will lead clients through the design process with clear communication, direct junior designers when needed, and work in lockstep with producers to keep projects on timeline without compromising the work. Every site we design starts with what the brand has to say. That narrative shapes the entire experience, and you need to be the person who protects it from brief through to launch.
This is not a role where you wait for direction. You set it.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in digital design, with a strong portfolio of web projects that demonstrate creative ambition and strategic thinking
- Expert-level Figma proficiency: you design, prototype, build and maintain component systems, and use Figma as a collaboration tool across the team
- A strong understanding of brand narrative and how it translates into digital experiences: layout, typography, motion, pacing, and interaction
- Experienced across the full design lifecycle: information architecture, wireframing, visual design, and production-ready deliverables
- Experienced working with enterprise clients: complex requirements, multiple stakeholders, high expectations
- Comfortable with interaction and motion design: you think about how a page moves, not just how it looks, and can articulate animation intent clearly to developers working in GSAP
- You design with development in mind: you understand responsive behaviour, CMS-driven content, component architecture, and the constraints and opportunities of building in Webflow
- Confident presenting your work to clients and defending creative decisions with rationale, not just taste
- Opinionated about typography, spacing, hierarchy, and detail: you notice what others miss
- A clear communicator: your design files are organised, your feedback is direct, and your client-facing communication builds confidence
- Comfortable directing junior designers, giving actionable feedback, and holding the creative standard across a project
- Aware of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
- Based in or available to work UK/EU hours
- Massive bonus: experience with motion design (After Effects, Rive, Lottie) or 3D (Blender, Cinema 4D, Spline), though not a hard requirement
What You Will be Doing
- Owning the creative direction of web projects end-to-end: from information architecture and wireframes through to final visual design and developer handoff
- Defining the visual direction and creative approach for each project, rooted in the client's brand narrative and commercial objectives
- Leading clients through the design process: presenting concepts, articulating rationale, managing feedback, and keeping stakeholders aligned
- Working in lockstep with producers to manage design timelines, feedback rounds, and handoff milestones
- Designing responsive web layouts that balance creative ambition with conversion strategy
- Building and maintaining component-based design systems in Figma that scale across large sites and multi-page builds
- Specifying interaction and animation intent for developers, including page transitions, scroll-based motion, hover states, and micro-interactions
- Directing and reviewing the work of junior designers, providing clear feedback and maintaining creative consistency across projects
- Collaborating with developers to ensure the final build matches the design intent, particularly on motion, spacing, and typographic detail
- Contributing to the evolution of OFF+BRAND.'s own visual identity, portfolio, and design standards
